NYC CUP Boys Showcase Information

The NYC Cup – Part of the WORLDWIDE SHOWCASE SERIES – will be attracting the best teams from around the globe. The event will only accept 100 boys elite teams between the ages of U13 – U19. Over 100+ college coaches and professional scouts are expected to be in attendance. There is no better place to play but right in the heart of NYC.

Beautiful Randall’s Island – an oasis in the middle of New York City, Randall’s Island Park comprises most of an island in the East River, between East Harlem, the South Bronx and Astoria, Queens.

Tournament Dates:

Boys Showcase: July 14th – 16th, 2017

Each team is guaranteed three (3) games – one per day.  Bracket play will consist of three (3) games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each game is 80 minutes for U15 – U19.  Each game is 70 minutes for for U13-U14.  EACH TEAM IS REQUIRED TO PLAY ONE GAME PER DAY.

Teams will not be eligible for acceptance until the registration fee has been received. Any team not accepted will receive a refund. Teams accepted, paid and opt-out do not receive a refund.

Note: Teams who are accepted and withdraw from event do not receive a refund.

  • Our main focus during the selection process is QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. Acceptance notifications will be e-mailed shortly after the deadline. Early acceptance will be granted for teams traveling from outside the state of the state of New York, with the decision made within two (2) weeks after receiving the application provided the entry fee is received within two weeks of submission date of team application approval.

GIRLS ACCEPTED TEAMS NEED TO PROVIDE:

1. A copy of their International, State Approved Roster or their US Club Approved Roster. Please mark out any players not attending the event and write-in any guest players. See note below concerning guest players.

2. A copy of each US Youth Soccer Player Pass or each US Club Players Pass, or Passport if your team is international (ONLY the front side that shows picture and Date of Birth must be copied) (If the player pass is “two sided”, we need side with players name and birthdate) including guest players for each player participating. You must include coach’s cards and manager’s cards in this document.

3. USYS Teams outside of Region I / International Teams: A copy of Permission to Travel form if your team is USYS registered and outside of Region I and/or International team (Canada, UK, Caribbean, etc). If your team is registered with US Club Soccer, a permission to travel form is also required.

SUBMISSION PROCESS:

1. After you have gathered the required documents to register your team, please create PDF files for each document type as they will be sent separately –please have player cards scanned in one PDF file.

Ensure to label each file with your team name and brief word that describes what’s in file. ie) SDFC-Boys99-PlayerCards.pdf

We recommend scanning multiple player cards to fill a sheet of paper which requires fewer “ID Card” attachments and a smaller email.
